Aimsio among 16 Alberta Companies Selected to Receive Funding to Stimulate Economy in Western Canada

Aimsio to commercialize new module to add more functionality to software

WINN PR Announcement

Calgary (November 29, 2018) - Earlier in November it was announced that 16 Alberta-based companies are to receive funding from the Government of Canada’s Western innovation (WINN) Initiative. Aimsio is excited to be amongst the impressive list of technology companies headquartered in both Calgary and Edmonton.

The WINN Initiative is a five-year federal initiative that offers repayable contributions for small and medium-sized enterprises to help with commercialization of innovative technologies.

At Aimsio, we will use the funding to commercialize a new module that will help companies visualize their field operations resource planning in a way that saves time, money and frustration. In other words, we plan on developing a shiny new, totally awesome, eye-popping feature for our equally amazing clients.

“As the technology landscape in Western Canada continues to grow and transform the economy, we’re proud to be headquartered in Calgary, with a second office in Vancouver,” says Ash Esmaeili, Co-Founder and CEO at Aimsio. “Aimsio is changing the way people look at their field operations processes. No longer are they perceived as a burden, but a competitive advantage. If you can make them as efficient as possible, you have a leg up on your competition. The funding from WINN is helping us to add even further functionality to our field operations software to make this possible.”

“Innovation in digital technology is essential to growing our economy, attracting investment, and creating good, middle-class jobs,” says the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada. “This is why the Government of Canada is supporting small- and medium-sized businesses like Aimsio in bringing new technologies and ideas to market.”

ATTAbotics, Enersoft Inc., FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd., Kent Imaging Inc., Nanalysis Corp., PK Sound Corp., QuirkLogic Inc., Recover Energy Services Inc., Userful Corporation, VEERUM Inc., Carbon Credit Solutions Inc., DevFacto Technologies, instaMek Solutions, Intelligent Imaging Systems, and Lumican Corporation all received funding as well.
